The Courier-Journal published a book in 1990 with photos and historical information for around 50 neighborhoods in the Louisville area. The text (no pictures) of this publication is now made available on the internet in PDF format by louisville.edu.  The neighborhoods are not listed alphabetically as in the book so you will have to scroll to find particular areas or use the left section of your PDF reader to scroll through the section headings.
